U & I Software has released ArtMatic Pro 3.0, a “graphics synthesizer” for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. It has also updated an ArtMatic companion product called VTrack to version 1.5.

ArtMatic Pro has been developed to automatically create graphics and animation, as well as process still images and QuickTime movies, making it suitable for use in video effects, filters and transitions. The software features a library of more than 300 graphics generators and filters, which can be patched together to create complex images and effects.
The new version is now native for Mac OS X, with rendering engine optimizations that have resulted in a 50 percent improvement in speed. High-resolution input pictures are supported, and a scalable user interface is now incorporated. AIFF support is provided for animation by sound and soundtracks. 20 new graphics components have been added, VTrack integration is improved, batch rendering is included, and more.
ArtMatic Pro is available for download for US$249. It’s also available on CD-ROM with additional content for $299.
In related news, U & I Software has also updated VTrack, a companion product to ArtMatic Pro that provides video mixing capabilities. VTrack supports QuickTime movies, DV streams, still images, sounds and ArtMatic structures.
VTrack 1.5 supports OS X natively, works with the ArtMatic Pro 3.0 engine, is able to associate sounds with pictures and ArtMatic events, supports large library sizes, and much more.
VTrack is available for download for $249, on CD-ROM for $299.
