Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 works with MP3, WAV, AIFF and Audio CD files (Audio CD is only supported on OS X) and sports an array of mixing capabilities. Features include graphic waveform displays, tempo recognition and automatic synchronization with up to 10 cue points and 10 tempo-precise loops per track, as well as an integrated track database with fast search capabilities.
The new version incorporates 40 new functions and improvements to features. It’s also the first version to be available for Mac OS X (it runs on Mac OS 9.2 as well). It works with the mouse and keyboard, and you can optionally interface it with MIDI controllers too. The software even interacts with Apple’s iTunes software and the iPod MP3 player.
The demo version of Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 is time-limited to stop after one hour of audio processing. Writing of the mixfile to WAV/AIFF formats is disabled, and current playlist, audio, keyboard and MIDI settings will not be saved. The evaluation time expires after 30 days as well.
The 7.13MB Mac download works on Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X, and is available from the Traktor Web site after filling out a registration form.
