With the holidays looming, Your Mac Life, the Internet show about all things Mac, will be giving away dozens of gifts on tonight’s episode, the last live show before January’s Macworld Conference and Expo in San Francisco, California.
Joining “Santa Shawn” King on tonight’s show will be Miriam Geller, senior product manager for Macromedia’s Director MX. Geller will talk about how Director fits in with the product line and whether the authoring tool still has legs. A copy of Director MX will be one of the goodies given away on Your Mac Life.
Tim Tully, creator of the ” The Universe,” a tour of over 200 celestial objects (all created on the Mac, naturally), will be on hand to talk about the making of the DVD and what you can expect to see. Santa Shawn will also have copies of this to give away.
As always, my MacCentral compadre Peter Cohen will be hand. This week, he’ll discuss Macworld Expo and what we can expect to see from the many game vendors who’ll be attending. If you’d like to send questions in advance to one of the show’s guests, e-mail them to King.
Your Mac Life will also offer tickets to the Your Mac Life All Star Party that will be held at next month’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, California. The party will be held at the Boz Scagg’s Night Club, Slims on Thursday, January 10 at 8:00 p.m.
Your Mac Life also has a special deal on Macworld Expo rates for the San Francisco Marriott. For details, e-mail the show’s travel coordinator. The special ends December 24. What’s more, if you want to join the Your Mac Life crew on Monday, January 6 as they go on a road trip down to Cupertino to Apple Headquarters and shopping at the Apple Employee Store, send the gang an e-mail.
Finally, tonight’s show wraps up the Macworld Conference and Expo Pass giveaway. Your Mac Life has two Platinum Passes, three Super Passes, and five Pro Passes to give away thanks to IDG World Expo.
Your Mac Life continues its interactive Holiday Gift Guide. What are you going to give for Christmas? What are you going to ask for from Santa? Send in your ” Christmas Wish List ” to Your Mac Life, and you’ll be eligible for a prize.
You can catch Your Mac Life every Wednesday evening from 5:30-8:30 p.m. (Pacific). You can also join one of the two chat rooms that run during the live show: on the World Without Borders Web site or on the dedicated IRC Server at irc.netmug.org in the #yourmaclife channel.
Also, another edition of YML XTended, King’s Internet show about Mac OS X and related topics, is up. King talks about Apple’s decision to allow Mac OS 9 booting to continue into 2003 longer than anticipated and what a Macworld Expo means to vendors other than Apple. And, as always, there are various e-mail questions and answers and the E-mail of the Week winner.
