The news comes more than year after Aspyr made public plans to release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, a game based on the first book and film in the series. Both games were published for the PC by Electronic Arts, a major PC game publisher with whom Aspyr has collaborated several times in the past. Aspyr contracted Westlake Interactive to port the original game to the Macintosh.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets continues the adventure of Harry Potter, a young sorcerer with amazing magical powers who is schooled in the magic arts at Hogwarts Academy. Players join Harry, his friends Hermoine Granger, Ron Weasley and others as they explore the grounds, learn new magical spells, go on quests, and confront dangerous evil.
The game is rated E for Everyone, Aspyr offered precious few details about the game’s development status or release schedule, but MacCentral will post more details as they become available.
