Canon has posted File Viewer Utility 1.1.1, a Mac OS X-compatible software application that enables Canon digital camera users to process RAW images into TIFF and JPEG format files.

The software enables you to process RAW images into 16-bit and 8-bit TIFF images, or JPEGs if you prefer. It can also adjust digital exposure compensation, white balance, color matrix setting, set custom tone curves, subject pattern sharpness and edge enhancement. The File Viewer Utility also allows you to manipulate IPTC captioning and apply 26 different “Personal Functions” to Canon’s EOS-1D and EOS-1Ds cameras.

The software works with Mac OS X 10.1 and 10.2, according to Canon. You will need your camera’s serial number to initiate the download.
