Willow Design has announced a portable iBook Mac lab carry case. Designed for the Surrey, British Columbia school board, the Mac Lab case is configured to carry up to six 12-inch iBooks in individually protected compartments, an Airport base station, plus all the power supplies, cords and accessories needed to set up a mobile iBook lab.

The Mac Lab cases won’t be available until the first week of January, but Willow is offering a special introductory price of US$170 as compared to the standard $185. The Mac Lab Carry Case will feature, as does Willow’s other 30 Apple cases, a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials or craftsmanship.
Apple offers a series of Curriculum Mobile Labs to help raise student achievement through the integration of technology into the curriculum. Based around the iBook, they include research-based software programs that adhere to curriculum standards, assessment tools to track student performance, and professional development for teachers.
