With iTView, users will be able to gain improved quality imaging for displaying business or classroom presentations, viewing the Internet or watching DVD movies on any TV monitor, according to Jason Overhulse, consumer product manager for FOCUS Enhancements. It’s based on the FOCUS Enhancements proprietary FS403 digital video co-processor. iTView Mac converts the desktop to a standard TV signal that can be displayed on any NTSC or PAL TV, projector, plasma or recorded to a VCR. Plus, it includes a software interface to allow direct control from any Power Mac G3 or G4 system.
The iTView Mac automatically detects computer resolutions up to 1024 x 768 pixels and synchronizes them with any TV. It controls size, pan, position, variable and 2x zoom. It offers 32 levels of sharpness flicker and 256 levels of brightness and contrast. In addition, in zoom mode, you can select auto pan to view the display in any direction. The iTView Mac’s exclusive software interface lets you control all image adjustments including panning and zooming from the desktop while in any Mac operating system, including Mac OS X.
It’s available at a suggested retail price of US$139 through FOCUS Enhancements worldwide distribution network and in agreement with Apple through their Apple Store and Apple Education Sales Agents (AESAs).
