The merger between Aladdin Systems and Activeworlds Corp. has been called off.
As we reported on May 6, Aladdin and Activeworlds had entered into a letter of intent regarding a non-binding proposal pursuant to which Aladdin would merge into Activeworlds. In a statement issued late last week, no reason was given for the termination of the proposed merger.
Meanwhile, Aladdin is continuing its merger discussions with Erevu, a company that designs, develops and deploys software-based management solutions for distributed networked computers. Erevu’s products are designed to address the need to control and simplify the corporate computing environment.
