Russell Preston Brown, Deke McClelland, and Glenn Mitsui are the newest inductees into the Photoshop Hall of Fame.
The three were recognized for their achievements in “Photoshop Business Development, Education and Art” respectively. The induction ceremony will be part of the 2002 PhotoshopWorld Conference and Expo, and will be held Sept. 19 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida.
Adobe Graphic Evangelist Brown is credited with initiating Adobe’s interest in Photoshop, as well as its widespread acceptance through his product demonstrations at conferences and trade shows. McClelland has written more than 50 titles about computer graphics, digital imaging and electronic design. Mitsui is an award-winning digital illustrator whose clients have included Apple, Microsoft, Mercedes and IBM.
The Photoshop Hall of Fame, formed by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, seeks to honor and recognize those individuals “whose contributions to the business, education, development and art of Adobe Photoshop have enduring value.” Previous inductees include Thomas and John Knoll, Dan Margulis and Diane Fenster.
