LiveMath — an application from Theorist Interactive that lets you create “notebooks” or workspaces that are live, dynamic, and interactive — has been Carbonized for Mac OS X compatibility. LiveMath Maker, LiveMath Plug-in, LiveMath Viewer and MathEQ are all now Mac OS X savvy. They’re also available for Mac OS 7-9.
The programs are available for purchase or download at the product Web site. They’re designed to help teachers and students learn math on the Web via its interactive math system.
LiveMath itself is a computer algebra system that can be used to make LiveMath solutions that can be shared on the Web by using the free LiveMath Plug-In for Netscape, Explorer and iCab browsers. The content can be viewed and explored with the free LiveMath Viewer. MathEQ is a mathematical typesetting program that generates typeset quality equations for a wide variety of disciplines.
