There is a plethora of MUG (Mac User Group) materials online that are worth checking out. Some are from the User Group University, the premier user group event at Macworld Expo.
Many of the faculty members from User Group University have provided their course materials from their sessions at Macworld New York for download. They’re now posted to the re-tooled UGU Schedule Page at The MUG Center, along with links to the User Group Report’s coverage of the audio portion to many of the sessions.
The Yearbook Page for User Group University New York 2002 is also online (but it’s a big download) and a traditional photo and iMovie gallery page is now online and ready for submissions. It includes several links to online galleries and movies by user groups and their members, other sites and some new pages of photos from the Mega-MUG Meeting, User Group Lounge, and Apple User Group Breakfast. Finally, there’s also a photo gallery of Apple’s new SoHo retail store online.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
