Parker Software Development has updated Archer, its multimedia slideshow player for Mac OS X, to version 2.2.0. The update displays long filenames correctly when the Show Info option is enabled and adds other tweaks.
Windows re-size correctly when the Dock is visible and cursor key navigation has been added in version 2.2.
Archer supports audio and video as well as still images. It also supports multiple players running at the same time, each with their own set of images, speed setting and size. You can append images to slide shows and when not in full-screen mode, a scroll bar is available to navigate through the images. While all commands can be executed using menus and command keys, Archer also provides many single-keystroke equivalents. For example, instead of choosing Import Images from the File menu, the utility permits you to simply hit the “I” key.
Archer is free and can be downloaded from the Parker Web site.
