ArKaos VJ 2.2 is the first real-time multimedia program, offering an innovative way to edit and manipulate a visual performance while it’s running, something that’s not been possible before, said Marco Hinic, engine architect and CEO. Targeted to VJs, DJs, installation and event artists, as well as businesses, the product lets you create live visual animation, using existing image and movie files. And you can add different real-time effect types and sequences.

A demo version, good for 21 days, can be downloaded at the ArKaos Web site. There’s no pricing info on the company Web site, just a note that says, “all the buying process is explained in the pop-up menu that appears when you first launch the software.”
Also available for download is the ArKaos Visualizer, a free plug-in for most Mac and Windows MP3/media players. Its beat matching artificial intelligence synchronizes visual projects created using VMP 2.1 with the music. It lets you share your creations, whether within communities with shared interests, with friends, or with customers, Hinic said.
