Fortune Magazine columnist Peter Lewis recommends the iBook for college students in a recent Personal Technology column.
Lewis recommends the “works-hard, plays-hard” iBook as the best choice for college students. He likes the 14-inch, US$1,799 version due to its larger screen and longer battery life. Lewis is also fond of the laptop’s specs, including the “snappy 700MHz PowerPC chip.” The only downside is its weight, about six pounds, he notes.
For tighter budgets, he recommends the 12-inch model of the iBook.
