Super Collapse II is the first game from GameHouse to be released simultaneously for Windows and Mac OS X. GameHouse announced its support for the Macintosh this past July at Macworld Conference & Expo in New York, where it released several of its more popular arcade puzzlers for Mac OS X. Some of GameHouse’s games can be played online. Their Mac games are available for online download and purchase as well.
Super Collapse II follows the basic format of the original game: Horizontal rows of colored bricks emerge from the bottom of the screen. You must click on clusters of three or more identically colored bricks to make them collapse and to ring up points. The larger the clusters, the greater the number of points — but don’t let the rows of bricks reach the top of the screen, or your game will end. You must also beat the clock and the ever-quickening pace of the bricks.
Super Collapse II adds three new game play methods: Relapse mode, which adds more intensity to the original game; Puzzle mode, which provides puzzle challenges free of the clock, and Strategy mode, similar to the original game but requiring more planning skills.
A free trial version of Super Collapse II is ready for download. Registering the game costs US$24.95.
