Audion and Transmit maker Panic plans to roll out its first appearance at a Macworld Expo in three years with a bang next week. The company will have a limited supply of CD-ROMs on hand, plus T-shirts for folks who buy Panic’s software at the show.

The “Panicdisc” CD-ROMs contain demos of all of the company’s software, along with extra icons for CandyBar, the Mac OS X customization tool that Panic made in cooperation with The Iconfactory. The CD also contains lots of custom faces for Audion, Panic’s MP3 and digital music software. The CD is also the exclusive home to B360, a never-before-released 1982 arcade game developed by Panic that’s now been ported to Mac OS X. Panic bills B360 as “Breakout in a circle.”
If you register one of Panic’s products while you’re at the show, you can get a free T-shirt. Panic plans to unveil four new styles of shirt, one for each day of the show, including one design that Panic calls a “not-too-geeky homage to Jaguar.”
A rundown of all Panic’s plans for Macworld Expo can be found on the Panic Web site.
And hey, if you’re already a loyal Panic customer and you’d like to get in on the free T-shirt deal, there’s still a way: Panic said it’ll given out free shirts to the first 15 people who visit its booth every day — you should come armed with a serial number, or be prepared to let them look it up in their database. Panic said there’s an outside chance they might make a run of shirts for purchase after the show as well.
Macworld Conference & Expo runs from Tuesday, January 7 through Friday, January 10, 2003. The event takes place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif. Look for Panic in booth 1747, “right behind Apple and a little to the right.”
