Although the game isn’t yet finished, Destineer will show off its conversion-in-progress of Dungeon Siege at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif. The top-selling game is currently in development at the studios of Westlake Interactive and will be published by Destineer’s Bold label once it’s finished.

Created by Gas Powered Games and published for Windows by Microsoft, Dungeon Siege is a fantasy role playing game. A top-seller of 2002, the game uses a 3D graphics engine that creates a continuous world without halting for levels to load.
Players lead groups of adventurers through a perilous journey as they fight, hack, slash and use magic along the way — you can play alone or with up to seven other adventurers in tow. What’s more, Dungeon Siege features multiplayer capabilities too — you can play with other folks in a traveling party, or engage in head to head competitions over the Internet or local area networks (LANs).
This is being billed as the Mac version of Dungeon Siege’s first public preview. The finished product is anticipated for an “early 2003” release, according to Destineer. Look for it at booth 4327 in the North Hall of the Moscone Center.
