FileMaker Inc. is showcasing its range of K-12 database solutions within the company’s exhibit area at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, California. But the data subsidiary of Apple is also taking its solutions on the road for much of 2003.
At Macworld, live demos will be presented showcasing about a dozen K-12 solutions. FileMaker is also touting its new K-12 education site that was launched in November. The education site offers breaking news about FileMaker at work in classrooms, schools and districts. It also has alerts to upcoming conferences and events, as well as feature stories on school systems and educators who are using FileMaker products. It also offers files submitted by teachers that can be downloaded and used for free.
“FileMaker Pro powers and enables thousands of schools in key districts throughout North America, and we are proud to present some of the most prominent independent FileMaker Pro developers focused on solving the critical information needs of students, teachers and educators,” said Dominique Goupil, president of FileMaker.
FileMaker Inc. will also be making February appearances at the upcoming American Association of School Administrators meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana (February 20-23); the Texas Computer Education Association Convention and Exposition (February 3-7) in Austin, Texas; and the Ohio SchoolNet State Technology Conference in Columbus, Ohio (February 3-5). Many more appearances at educational conferences are planned throughout the year.
