MacSpeech Inc. will be previewing the next version of iListen at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
iListen, MacSpeech’s speech recognition software, has “TalkAnywhere” technology, which lets you dictate into virtually any Mac application. It translates speech to typed text and characters anywhere you would normally type. iListen is speaker dependent, meaning you have to spend some time “training” iListen to the unique cadence and timbre of your voice. However, it can handle multiple users, each with their own speech files. iListen runs on Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.
If you’re attending MWSF, you can get a sneak peek at the next version of iListen at Booth 4141 in the North Hall. The company is also running a series of special offers for the week of Macworld only.
Also, MacSpeech has certified Telex Communications’ Telex H-851, USB Stereo Computer Headset for use with their speech recognition products.
The H-851 combines a “highly accurate noise canceling microphone and the unparalleled signal quality that only USB audio processing can provide,” according to MacSpeech. Additionally, the H-851’s ultra-light, cushioned design and high fidelity stereo sound provide users with comfortable performance that they can enjoy for extended periods, they added.
