The folks at Postworx are demoing their Speedballs for iBooks and Titanium PowerBooks at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
The SpeedBall is a US$11.95 hardware addition targeted at laptop computers. The product consists of two half-spheres with adhesive on the flat side and the curved side coated with a smooth material. By attaching the two spheres to the far bottom corners of a laptop (near the screen, not the keyboard), the Speedball elevates the computer.
The folks at Postworx said that this improves cooling and offers an incline to improve the ergonomics of typing on a laptop keyboard for an extended period of time.
The Speedball is available in “snow white” for iBook owners and “silver titanium” for PowerBook users. There’s also a darker colored “gun metal” coated speedball for those who prefer the darker look.
