In light of Apple’s new PowerBook announcements, the company has reduced the price on its 15.2 inch screen-equipped 1GHz PowerBook to US$2,799. The Titanium-clad PowerBook G4 remains in the product matrix however, alongside its new bigger 17 inch and smaller 12 inch aluminum-clad cousins, unveiled for the first time during yesterday’s Macworld Expo keynote address by Steve Jobs.

Also, AirPort cards have dropped in price from $99 to $79. This follows Apple’s announcement of the new AirPort Extreme technology. The new base station and AirPort Extreme cards operate at up to 54Mbps. It’s downwardly compatible with devices that use the older, slower standard.
