Detto Technologies has announced that its Move2Mac product — especially designed for Windows to Mac switchers — now supports Windows 95. The previous version of Move2Mac, which made its public debut at Macworld Expo in New York last July, was designed to support Windows 98 and higher.

Move2Mac is a software and cable kit that enables Windows PC users to connect to their new Macs and transfer over vital data and application software settings, to make their transition to new Mac ownership as smooth as possible. The previous release of Move2Mac used a USB to USB data transfer cable.
Move2Mac for Microsoft Windows 95 instead employs a parallel to USB cable, since many Windows 95 PCs lack a suitable USB port for connecting. The cable itself was designed by Keyspan.
Detto plans to have Move2Mac for Windows 95 available in stores by the end of January. It’ll be available at Apple Stores, CompUSA, The Computer Store, MacZones, and elsewhere with a suggested retail price of US$69.95.
In related news, Move2Mac will be available in the UK in February. Detto Technologies said it’s the first phase of its republishing and distribution software with Ireland-based NPR Software. Detto plans a global roll out in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
