The logjam of educational and home software that isn’t available for Mac OS X will soon be broken if Mac conversion house Software MacKiev has anything to do with it. Software MacKiev and home/education software publisher Riverdeep Inc. have announced a partnership that promises to bring twenty Riverdeep titles to Mac OS X 10.2, “Jaguar.”

The titles include The Print Shop, Kid Pix Deluxe, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, Edmark Thinkin’ Things, Dr. Seuss’s ABC’s, and the ClueFinders series.
Software MacKiev president Jack Minsky said that his company is looking forward to bringing the titles to the Macintosh. “Riverdeep has some of the most popular consumer and educational software available today,” said Minsky.
The new Jaguar versions of the Riverdeep titles will be marketed in Mac-specific retail and online channels. The first release out of the game is The Print Shop, which will be available at Apple Store retail locations beginning in February. Riverdeep also plans to make its Jaguar-compatible titles in other markets including educational product channels.
