Designed to support a variety of manufacturer’s products, including Apple’s, Juice is the result of over a year of research and development, according to Mobility Electronics CEO Charlie Mollo. Mollo added that his company current has a backlog of 20,000 units ordered by retailers, all of which should ship in the first quarter of 2003.
The iGo Juice is compatible with both AC and DC power sources, so it eliminates the need for you to carry two different adapters depending on whether you want to draw power from a wall outlet or accessory outlet on an automobile or elsewhere. What’s more, Mobility Electronics makes available adapters to plug in the Juice to cell phones and PDAs, so with a few different adapters handy, you can use a single slim power brick to charge up all your gear.
Set to retail for $119.99, the iGo Juice measures 5.4 x 2.15 by 0.85 inches. It weighs about 7.5 oz. and incorporates over voltage protection, current limit, over temperature protection and short circuit protection.
The iGo Juice is compatible with the PowerBook G4, as well as older PowerBooks including the 1400 and 2400 series, the 3400, and the PowerBook G3.
The iGo Juice will be available from leading retailers and mail-order catalogs in the U.S. and Europe.
