CourseForum and ProjectForum both use browser-based interfaces that enable users to share material with groups of other users distributed over a network. CourseForum is the core product, designed specifically for the needs of educators, while ProjectForum is a derivative designed to appeal to businesses and corporate consumers. CourseForum supports Mac OS X.
Improvements in version 1.2 of both products include support for larger numbers of courses and workgroups and enhancements to content creation and administration.
CourseForum Technologies has dropped the price of licensing the software, to as low as U$79 for the educational versions. Free versions have also been created, which provide a basic, streamlined feature set that will help you get your feet wet. Full evaluation versions on a time-limited license are also available.
