MightyData LLC and Heunox Corp. have announced the sessions and speakers scheduled for FMP World 2003, a FileMaker Pro-related conference that will take place late in March in Plano, Texas.

Scheduled for March 31 – April 1, 2003 at the Doubletreel Hotel and Executive Meeting Center, FMP World 2003 will feature three different tracks of sessions: Foundation, Developer and Solutions. Speakers include two FileMaker sales engineers, four FileMaker partners, four authors of FileMaker Pro books and six professional educators from K-12 and higher education.
The Foundation track sports four sessions covering topics important to FileMaker developers and admins. North American Systems Engineering manager for FileMaker Andrew LeCates will present the keynote address, while William Porter, Ph.D., Cris Ippolite and Jonathan Stars will present sessions on topics like bringing FileMaker projects in on time and budget and the importance of development standards.
The Developer track is aimed at in-house developers and consultants. Sessions include FileMaker sales engineer Matt Petrowsky’s view on user interface issues, while Danny Mack, Jeff Hoffman and Neal Watzman will talk about performance, alternate data finding methods, and relational database design theory, respectively.
The Solutions track has four sessions scheduled on FileMaker-made solutions for K-12 and higher ed. The sessions feature Bob Bowers, Vince Menanno and others, who will present specific solutions like DataPoint, an improvement planning system, and SMART, a student performance tracking system.
Registration for FMP Word 2003 costs US$599 through February 28, 2003, or $699 thereafter. That price gets you the manual and CD-ROM, white papers and sample files along with meals and refreshments.
