VueScan, the scanner software for flatbed and film scanners from Hamrick Software, has been updated to version 7.6.5.
VueScan is a utility designed to work with most scanners and can assist in doing batch scanning while producing color-balanced and cropped images. Version 7.6.5 adds popup tips when the cursor hovers over options.
VueScan is designed to save scanned images to JPEG files (by default) or TIFF files (optionally). You can configure your preferred image-editing application to automatically open each image when a scan completes.
VueScan is compatible with Mac OS X (10.0 or higher) and Mac OS 9.x. The cost for a single user license is US$40, although the 7.6.5 update is free to registered users of 7.x.
