Elemental Audio Systems has announced plans to add support for Digidesign’s RTAS audio plug-in format on the Macintosh. Elemental makes audio software plug-ins including Firium, Eqium and Inspector.
Firium, Eqium and Inspector already support Mac OS X’s AudioUnit plug-in format, a core technology of Mac OS X 10.2. Firium is a linear-phase mastering equalizer with built-in spectrum EQ; Eqium is a fully sweepable equalizer with 11 filter types; and Inspector offers a spectral display, peak and RMS meters, clip counters and alarms.
Firium and Eqium cost US$99 each or as a bundle for $129 — Inspector is free for a limited time and Demos are available for download. The software is now available in three formats: VST for Mac OS 9, VST for Mac OS X and AudioUnit for Mac OS X. All formats are included with the purchase, and the Mac RTAS format release will be a free upgrade for Firium and Eqium 1.x owners.
