Apple has delayed shipment of the company’s iLife bundle, first introduced earlier this month during CEO Steve Jobs keynote speech at Macworld Expo.
“We will be shipping our iLife retail package and making iPhoto2 and iMovie3 available for download on our website by January 31, a week later than we originally announced,” Apple said in a statement given to MacCentral today.
Apple representatives gave no reason for the delay in shipping the product.
iLife is Apple’s new moniker for a bundle of applications including iTunes 3, iPhoto 2, iMovie 3 and iDVD 3. At Macworld Expo Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced that iTunes, iPhoto and iMovie will be available for free download, while iDVD, due to its size, will be restricted to distribution by DVD-ROM.
