Default Folder X, the dialog enhancing tool for Mac OS X, has been updated to version 1.6.5. The upgrade corrects a startup conflict with Suitcase 10, adds Get Info commands to the Dock and Default Folder X application, and boosts compatibility and startup performance.
Default Folder is a tool from St. Clair Software that enhances the Open and Save dialog boxes on the Mac. It lets you set up a default folder for any or all applications, switch among recently used folders, and navigate to your favorite folders. You can simply click on the buttons to go to your favorite and recently used folders, manage the folders and files shown in the list, and make changes to their settings.
This update is free to users who have registered earlier versions of Default Folder X. Existing users of Default Folder 3.x receive a US$15 discount off the regular $34.95 price. More details and download links are online.
