Adobe Systems Inc. has released two fixes for Photoshop 7 and Photoshop Elements 2.0, both of which can be downloaded from Adobe’s Web site now.

Adobe Photoshop 7.0.x AltiVecCore Update plug-in has been released to improve the reliability of Photoshop 7.0.x when used on Macs that sport a G4 processor. The software works along-side the AltiVecCore plug-in already installed by Photoshop, according to Adobe, and supports Photoshop 7.0.x working in all language versions. The 14K update is archived in Binhex format.
Photoshop Elements is Adobe’s image editing solution aimed at consumers and folks with more modest digital editing needs than Photoshop provides. Elements works with digital cameras, and can read the EXIF metadata supplied by the camera to help determine what color space should be used to interpret images transferred from the camera. Certain cameras don’t embed ICC profiles, and instead always specific the sRGB color space in the EXIF data, according to Adobe. The Ignore EXIF Color Space plug-in has been created to provide a way for Elements to ignore the color space information in the EXIF data itself. It’s a 79K plug-in archived in BinHex format, also available for download from Adobe’s Web site.
