Magister Ludi, a human-factors centered software and training house based in Milan, Italy, has released YourSQL version 1.0, a free, open source Mac OS X application designed to let users create a MySQL database.
MySQL is a relational database management system for Web site and business application development and deployment. The software counts over four million worldwide installations across multiple platforms. The MySQL .pkg binaries require Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar or Mac OS X 10.2 Server.
YourSQL supports activation of some of the more advanced features of MySQL such as indices, without requiring advanced technical knowledge from the users, according to MacTech magazine .
And it provides instant access to all databases on your network, whether they’re installed under Mac OS X, Linux, or Windows. What’s more, a special feature allows the creation on one-column indices and primary keys. YourSQL is now available for download.
