Apimac is now offering the new version 5 release of its Address Book software as a public beta, available for download from its Web site. The software offers a different interface and more extensive features than Apple’s own Address Book software, but uses the Address Book database.

Apimac Address Book enables users to store phone numbers, physical addresses, e-mail, Web site URLS and more. It offers one-click access for e-mail and Web site launching.
With Jaguar’s release, Apple switched to a common database format for the Address Book that can be used by other applications. Apimac Address Book 5.0b makes use of that technology, enabling you to keep contact information synchronized with Address Book or other Address Book database-compliant applications — including iSync.
Address Book costs US$19.99 to register. Multi-user packs and site licenses are available.
