GraphicConverter X, Lemke Software’s utility for viewing, editing, and converting graphic file formats, has been updated to version 4.5.3.
Version 4.5.3 adds MRW import; support for bicubic scaling with QuickTime 6 or later; support for GIFs with the unusual length of the animation extension block; an option to save PNGs without the software name; and a printing option for iptc caption.
The display quality in the slideshow has been improved (with QuickTime 6 or later, that is), as has the rotation speed with user defined angles and Photoshop plug-in compatibility. With GraphicConvert X, an open dialog will now show previews for QuickTime compatible files if there’s no real preview in the resource fork.
GraphicConverter X 4.5.3 requires Mac OS X 10.0 or higher — registration for the product is US$35. If you’re upgrading, it requires a US$15 upgrade key if you purchased your license before April 1, 2002; version 4.5.3 is free to registered 4.5.x users. A version of GraphicConverter 4.5.3 is also available for Mac OS 8.6 and higher.
