Mac game publisher Aspyr Media noted in its most recent newsletter that it’s shipping the Mac conversion of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. Aspyr had previously reported the game as in duplication, following its display at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco earlier this month. The game’s Mac conversion was handled by Beenox.

Although Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 is available on consoles, this version is the most recent release for Windows and Mac OS. Players once again take the role of pro skateboarding champ Tony Hawk and a dozen other pro skaters, or they can make their own custom skaters.
New multiplayer modes let you go head to head or play team-based games, including Capture the Flag, Control the Zone and Keep Away. The game features 10 new skateparks, new tricks to learn, and lots more action. You’ll be able to skate real-world locations including Middleton, RI’s Skater’s Island, spots in Los Angeles, Canada, Tokyo and Paris.
System requirements for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 call for Mac OS 9.2.1 or later, including Mac OS X 10.1 or later; a G3/450MHz or faster; 128MB RAM (256MB required for OS X); 700MB hard drive space, and ATI Radeon or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better video system with at least 32MB of video memory.
Rated T for Teen by the ESRB, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 will be on store shelves imminently for US$39.95.
