The Iconfactory has announced the start of its 7th annual Pixelpalooza icon design contest. Last year’s Pixelpalooza drew more than 140 entries.

For this year’s Pixelpalooza, the Iconfactory has combined Illustrative and 3D categories into a single category called “Classic,” where icon artists are encouraged to create 32 x 32 pixel icons. The OS X category — last year’s most popular grouping — is back this year in the same form as before. And new to this year’s contest is the Candybar category, in support of the Iconfactory’s Mac OS X icon switching utility.
Folks interested in participating are encouraged to visit the Iconfactory’s Web site for rules, guidelines and info. The Iconfactory is accepting entries through March 31, 2003.
