Parker Software Development Inc.
has released Archer 2.3.2, the latest version of the multimedia slideshow player for Mac OS X.
Archer supports audio and video as well as still images. It also supports multiple players running at the same time, each with their own set of images, speed setting and size. You can append images to slide shows and when not in full-screen mode, a scroll bar is available to navigate through the images. While all commands can be executed using menus and command keys, Archer also provides many single-keystroke equivalents.
As of version 2.3.2, you can change the background color in different ways. You can use the standard Color Picker window or use the “.” (Period) and “,” (Comma) keys to fine tune the background color up or down in small increments — even while the slide show is playing. Version 2.3.2 also fixes a bug that caused images to not be centered when toggling between full screen and normal mode.
Archer is free and can be downloaded from the Parker Web site, where you can also find other products such as ArcherPro, NewsHunter and NewsHunter Classic.
