Blackmagic’s DeckLink is a 10-bit uncompressed video and real-time effects card for the Macintosh. The device features fully digital SMPTE-259M SDI input and output, internal SDI video sync generation, built-in DV bridge, RS-422-compatible serial deck control port, and more. The card itself retails for US$995.
The new software update now supports real-time 3-way color correction. It also gains full compatibility with uncompressed 8- and 10-bit Digital Voodoo format QuickTime files (the card already supported Pinnacle CineWave and Viewgraphics Video Pump formats).
The DeckLink 2.4 software is a free upgrade for DeckLink users. It’s compatible with Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.
