Glencoe/McGraw-Hill has released TeacherWorks, a new teacher tool for managing lessons, appointments, tasks, teacher resources, and state correlations. The suite of tools is designed to allow K-12 educators to customize the program to reflect individual teaching style, student needs and class calendars.
The five main areas of the Teacher Works software suite include the Lesson Planner, Personal Assistant, Teacher Resources, Correlations and Internet. The Lesson Planner can create a view for a single day, a week or a whole school year. The Personal Assistant lets teachers organize appointments and tasks, schedule parent conferences and create a daily to-do list and record notes.
Teacher Resources lets educators access their electronic teacher edition, additional program software and accompanying worksheets. What’s more, teachers can access state standards and correlate individual courses to them. The Internet component of TeacherWorks allows users to keep all of their commonly used Web links in a single place without searching for individual bookmarks.
With the software suite, teachers can also download state specific Teacher Resource updates online. TeacherWorks is compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.1 or later. For more info, including the pricing structure, go to the product Web site.
