Boris FX, makers of integrated graphics and effects technology, has released Boris Continuum Complete 2.0, a package of 110 filters for Adobe After Effects 5.5, Apple Final Cut Pro 3, Discreet combustion 2.1, and Boris RED.

Continuum Complete’s filters are for compositing, image processing, keying, color, distortion and temporal effects. It also offers animated apply modes, film grain, light zoom, ramping time effects and more. All offer customizable presets to streamline effects creation, according to Boris FX.
Highlights include 16-bit processing, optical flow for high-quality footage retiming, 32 new filters including new texture generators, hundreds of user-customizable presets, filter-specific electronic help, and a major enhancement of all existing Continuum Complete filters to add new features and optimize render quality and speed, according to Boris Yamnitsky, Boris FX founder and president.
Continuum Complete 2.0 contains several new filters that can create textural media that can be used as an independent graphic element or composited with underlying footage. Texture generators include brick, granite, veined marble, and reptilian skin. All of these filters include an option for 3D bump mapping. using internal light sources. The BCC Bump Map filter applies the same bump mapping to any media. Each filter’s banner contains a Help button that opens the appropriate section of the Continuum Complete User Guide; there are 32 new filters in all.
Boris Continuum Complete 2.0 is available now for US$595. Registered users of earlier versions can upgrade for $199, though version 2.0 is a free upgrade for users who purchased the product after December 1, 2002.
