Last Thursday we reported on a new anti-spam service called GoodbyeSpam, but there’s another company, Kobobiz.com, that offers similar services.
Officially launched in December, this “boutique” Web-based e-mail service targets users “who are fed up with clogged e-mail boxes and lost daily productivity as a result of excessive spam and unsolicited advertising,” company spokesperson Lori Leavey told MacCentral.
With Kobobiz.com, you can manage multiple e-mail accounts from one location from one Web site. There’s nothing to install, as the service works with any Web browser on a variety of operating systems, including the Mac, Leavey said.
All incoming files are scanned for viruses automatically. The company promises not to sell your e-mail address to anyone or add a signature advertising Kobo.biz to your e-mails. Kobobiz offers a minimum of 50MB of storage. Pricing details can be found at the service’s Web site.
