Future Media Concepts (FMC), a digital media training center, is bringing a Final Cut Pro editing training seminar to Miami, Florida, on February 25 and Orlando, Florida, on February 27.
The US$199 course is targeted to intermediate and advanced professional editors, producers, independent filmmakers, videographers and digital artists. Topics covered will include strategies for working with uncompressed and HD footage; tips for experienced editors; workflows that include third-party software such as Boris, Automatic Duck, Photoshop and After Effects; color correction and finishing techniques; and outputting final projects to DVD using DVD Studio Pro.
The seminars will take place at the Hilton Miami Airport hotel and at the Sheraton Studio City Hotel in Orlando. Details and online registration can be found at the FMC Web site.
Final Cut Pro is now up to version 3.0.4. At last month’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Apple released Final Cut Express, a $299 “lite” version of the video editing application aimed at small business users, educators, students and advanced hobbyists to edit video like professional video editors who have outgrown iMovie.
