The software is used for network switch testing, local hard disk throughout and reliability testing, and Mac hardware burn-in and reliability testing, according to Helios.
HELIOS LanTest 3.1 gains complete Mac OS X support, according to the developer, including support for Aqua. It’s also downwardly compatible with Mac OS 9. LanTest 3.1 can test any AFP-compatible file server or local hard disk, and is AppleScriptable.
HELIOS LanTest is ready for download from the HELIOS Web site. Separate installers are available for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 versions. An earlier version is also available for Mac OS 8.x.
