After an extensive public beta test, Ranchero Software has released
NetNewsWire 1.0. NetNewsWire is an RSS news reader that displays news and headlines from thousands of different Web sites (including MacCentral).

NetNewsWire 1.0 incorporates all of the basic RSS news file manipulation features found in NetNewsWire Lite, including RSS discovery, self-configuration, a three pane interface, drag and drop subscriptions, customizable appearance, and much more. (NetNewsWire Lite v1.0.2 is freeware and remains available for download.)
NetNewsWire 1.0 also adds a Weblog editor, making it possible for users of Movable Type, Radio UserLand, Blogger and other types of Weblogs to post to their blogs. A Notepad feature is also provided — you can use it to store news headlines, URLs, subscription info, or your own thoughts.
What’s more, NetNewsWire 1.0 also shows dates, subjects, and creators (when that information is available from the individual news feeds themselves), and it features a Find command you can use to search through news. NetNewsWire is also AppleScriptable.
NetNewsWire has been released as a fully functioning 30-day demo, and costs US$29.95 to register. It requires Mac OS X 10.2 “Jaguar” or better.
