Shareware developer Steve Becker has released WebPrint Plus X 1.5 for Mac OS X. It’s a new version of the toolset for collecting, saving, printing and editing information in most applications and on the Internet.
WebPrint Plus X can save and print styled and colored text. It includes a universal keyboard shortcut to print selected text in a variety of applications. This feature works even when WebPrint Plus X is configured to run as a Desktop Printer. It includes a built-in text editor that lets you edit and add to the content of your saved information. The editor also supports multi-styled text and can apply colors to text.
As of version 1.5, WebPrint can be made invisible, and its universal keyboard shortcut for printing selected text works when WebPrint Plus isn’t visible. When using a low resolution monitor, WebPrint Plus now automatically positions the Note window; it’s always done this for other monitors. A Help menu has been added to WebPrint Plus to provide users with an alternate way to access WebPrint’s main built-in Help file and adds one-click access to WebPrint’s new “Tips and Troubleshooting” Web page. The application’s preferences now can be accessed from the Application menu, and several enhancements have been added to WebPrint’s code.
WebPrint Plus X requires Mac OS X 10.1 or later. A fully functional demo is available for download. Registration is US$34.95; also, for a limited time, PrintMagic X users may upgrade to WebPrint Plus X for $19.95.
