Up until now, The Omni Group has mainly relied on the Internet as its means of distribution — the company’s software products remain available for download and online registration through The Omni Group’s own Web site.
OmniGraffle is a diagramming application, while OmniOutliner is used for outlining and organization. OmniWeb is a Web browser. All of the software apps were developed using Apple’s Cocoa application framework, and run exclusively on Mac OS X.
The Omni Group’s CEO, Ken Case, noted that he expects his company’s products to be available through other Mac resellers and Apple Specialists. Apple Specialists are a special tier of authorized Apple reseller.
“We are extremely pleased to offer consumers a new way to learn about our products, especially for those who prefer the retail experience,” said Case.
