The FireWire Mini DigiDrive measures 4.53 x 1.2 x 3.0 inches and weighs about 5 ounces, according to the company. It is compatible with CF-I, CF-II, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Micro Drive, MultiMedia Card and Secure Digital Card formats. It can simultaneously read and write between two different media types, enabling users to exchange data between flash media as well.
Addonics’ FireWire Mini DigiDrive is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 or higher. The device costs US$89, and includes a FireWire cable and 6 to 4 pin FireWire adapter (useful for PCs that use the four-pin FireWire interface).
In related news, Addonics is also making a USB 2.0 version of its Mini DigiDrive — that system sells for US$42.
