Bare Bones Software on Tuesday updated BBEdit, bringing the current version to 7.0.2. BBEdit, considered by many to be one of the best HTML and text editors for the Macintosh, receives numerous enhancements with the latest update.
BBEdit 7.0.2 adds support for automatic sensing and translation of a file’s text encoding. The update also includes the ability to control the number of items remembered on the Open Recent menu, new “Text Encodings” and “Unix Scripting” preferences panels, a “Save a Copy” command, as well as numerous additional interface refinements and fixes for various reported issues.
The BBEdit 7.0.2 update is available free of charge to all registered BBEdit 7.0 customers.
