Apple User Group Advisory Board members Lorene Romero and Lesa Snider will be attending Photoshop World in Los Angeles. Mac User Group (MUG) members can join them for an informal MUG gathering and dutch-treat dinner on Thursday, February 20, at 6:30 pm.
Romero and Snider will meet MUG leaders, members, guests and anyone who would like to attend inside the LA Convention Center at the entrance of the Tech Expo Exhibit Hall.
The Apple User Group Advisory Board helps represent MUG needs to Apple. Photoshop World 2003 is a three-day (February 19-21) conference focusing on Photoshop and featuring a full conference schedule, tutorials, breakout sessions and a vendor fair.
Also, former Apple User Group Program Manager, Garr Reynolds, returns to his old user group, the Kinki Macintosh User Group, on February 23 to outline some of the features of Keynote. He’ll even put Apple’s new presentation software head-to-head against PowerPoint. Garr will begin with his top 10 list of ways to make a great presentation and then delve into Keynote. Go to The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups, for details on the Photoshop World gathering and Garr’s meeting.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware.
