NX alienbrain Engineer features special branching, merging and sharing functionality, and can handle new language and platform versions. What’s more, the source code control environment features clients for Mac OS 9 and X, Windows and Linux, and integrates with development environments including Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET and Metrowerks CodeWarrior.
The software is scalable to millions of file versions and several hundred users per server, and sports a customizable API that enables developers to tweak the system to their needs. It also provides integrated messaging and file exchange, along with advanced search capabilities.
NXN alienbrain Engineer joins other NXN alienbrain products including Studio and VFX. It will cost US$690 per seat including the server and first year support and maintenance. NXN Software anticipated releasing NXN alienbrain Engineer beginning March 4, 2003. A free, unlimited two client evaluation version will be available for download as well.
The Game Developers Conference (GDC) runs from March 4-8, 2003 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. Look for NXN in booth 524.
